"Missions is not the ultimate goal of the church. Worship is.
Missions exists because worship doesn't. Worship is ultimate, not
missions, because God is ultimate, not man. When this age is over,
and the countless millions of the redeemed fall on their faces
before the throne of God, missions will be no more. It is a
temporary necessity. But worship abides forever..." John Piper in
"Let the Nations Be Glad" God's glory, not missions, should be the goal of the
church. The goal at Central Baptist Church is that God will
receive glory by being worshipped and through the worship of his
Son.
Revelation tells us that every tribe and language and
people and nation will worship when the new kingdom comes.
Missions will cease at that time. Until then missions exists
because worship does not. Jesus Himself defined the mission when
He said "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all
the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end
come." (Matthew 24:14)
Because of that, Central Baptist Church has a passion for
missions. Missions is central to the work of our church and we
are excited about what God is doing.
Central Baptist Church supports a number of missionaries and
projects through Faith Promise Missions giving. Below are the 74 missionaries, ministries, and organizations that Central Baptist Church currently supports.
