His story: Grew up in a preacher's home, and first
began directing choirs in the church where his Dad was

Christ as my Savior at the age of 5. My mother led me to
Christ kneeling in my bedroom. I graduated from Guilford

Ministry at Central: Minister of Music
Family: My wife, Donna and I were married in 1980.
The Lord blessed us with one daughter, Amber, and one
grandson, Clayton, who was born in December 2007. Amber serves in a church near Fayetteville, NC where her
husband, Joe Swagger, is Minister of Music.
Favorite sports teams: Duke University Basketball
Team
Favorite pastimes: I have a full time job in
administration in a large managed care company, so church
music is my primary past-time activity. I also enjoy yard
work and doing landscaping at my home.
Favorite verse: I Corinthians 13:12 For now we see
through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know
in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
Favorite board game: Monopoly
Favorite quote: "Some cause happiness wherever they
go; others whenever they go." - Oscar Wilde
Advice to others: What ever you do, do it to your
best ability, and strive to reach your maximum potential for
the Lord, and not for the praise of men. [Colossians 3:23]
His passion: Serving others and particularly helping
someone that has a need.
Favorite song: My favorite hymn is... My Jesus I Love
Thee. Otherwise my song favorites are always Gospel Songs
and they constantly change with new music released. A couple
songs that continue to minister to me through the years are:
One Scarred Hand and When He Was On The Cross.
