Known for being the friendliest church in our city, Central Baptist Church provides many opportunities for creative, life enriching fellowship for all ages. From the youngest infant in our state-of-the-art preschool department to the most mature adult in our Senior's ministry, there is a place for everyone at Central Baptist Church...and there is a place for You!

Before you visit our church, there are a few things you may want to know. If you have any questions, please contact us at 910-892-7914 or email us at cbcdunn@cbcdunn.com. When you visit, be sure to complete the visitor's registration card so that we may have the opportunity to meet you and help you find a place to serve and be served.

What to Wear
Members and visitors to our church who attend Sunday morning worship wear anything from casual or business casual to a suit and tie or dress.  Those attending services other than Sunday morning are relaxed and casually dressed.  Either way, come just as you are.

Where to Go
When you first enter our parking lot, you will be facing our Chapel and our Education Building where we offer Bible Study/Sunday School. If you drive around behind this building, you will be facing our Tabernacle where we meet for worship.

What to Expect
Once you arrive, greeters will be readily available to help you or you and your family get settled in for an exciting morning. Activities are provided for children ages birth through 6th grade during Bible Study, and birth through 3 years during Worship Service.

During the Worship Service, you will be given an opportunity to complete a visitor's registration card. This will allow us to thank you for your visit and to express our love to you. At the conclusion of each service, be sure to listen to any final announcements since these often include events for the coming week.

What Bible is Used
We see nothing wrong with many of today's translations (versions) of the Bible, especially if they are drawing people closer to God. In fact we refer to various versions occasionally, and many of our people have and bring various versions with them. However, for consistency and unity, all public reading is done from the King James Version at Central Baptist.

In 1604, King James I of England authorized that a new translation of the Bible into English be started. It was finished in 1611, just 85 years after the first translation of the New Testament into English appeared (Tyndale, 1526). The Authorized Version, or King James Version, quickly became the standard for English-speaking Protestants. Its flowing language and prose rhythm has had a profound influence on the literature of the past 300 years. The King James Version (KJV) is public domain in the United States which means its words may be freely copied and distributed.
